Welcome to The Jeweled Turret Inn Bed and Breakfast!The Jeweled Turret Inn Bed and Breakfast of Belfast, Maine, is exquisitely turreted, columned, and gabled, surrounded by bushes and many flowers. The Inn, circa 1898, is listed as a "Landmark" on The National Register of Historic Places.The Victorian Era awaits you inside... The name of The Jeweled Turret Inn Bed and Breakfast is derived from the spiraling grand staircase, which is encased in a round turret with stained and leaded glass windows and jewel-like embellishments. Guestrooms are on the first and second floors. This grand lady of the Victorian period possesses a beautifully restored interior furnished in antiques, Persian rugs, windows swathed in lace, and ornate woodwork of oak, maple, pine, and fir. Some exciting features of the mansion include: 4 parlors luxuriously decorated, and 4 unique fireplaces - including the Den's fireplace built of rocks and semi-precious stones from every state in the Union. This turreted room has a dark wood-beamed ceiling, and pine-framed rattan wainscoting that enhances the maple floors. Two lovely verandas with porch swing and wicker furniture overlook the peaceful Historic District for quieter moments. The 7 guestrooms invite you to indulge in your romantic surroundings. With 4-poster and scrolled-iron beds, beautiful linens, antique furnishing, and other treasures from Victorian days, they are wonderfully nostalgic hideaways from today's cares.
